1 Killed, 1 Wounded in Shooting at Arlington Home: Police

One man is dead and another seriously injured after a shooting at an Arlington home Thursday morning.[[404012986,C]]

Arlington police said they received multiple calls of people hearing gunshots at about 7:15 a.m. near a home on the 900 block of Belemeade Street at about 7 a.m.

Officers arrived to find one a man in his early-20s dead in the front doorway of the home.

Police said another man, also in his early-20s, was found wounded in the front yard. He was transported to Medical City Arlington with a gunshot wound to the face. His current condition is listed as serious.

Investigators said a man and his girlfriend live at the home and that the shooting started after another woman brought two armed men to the house.

One of the armed men brought to the house was killed in the doorway, the other was injured in the yard.

Police said Thursday afternoon if the injured man survives he is expected to be charged with burglary. The woman he was accompanying will be charged with burglary and intent to commit assault.

The man who owns the home and his girlfriend currently face no charges. Police said the case will be presented to the grand jury for review.
