Pink Hair for a Great Cause

Women get pink hair extensions to support breast cancer research

If you ever wanted a pop of pink in your hair, now's the time to try it.

Halo Salon and Color Lab jumped on the Pink Hair for Hope campaign, and stylists are putting a temporary pink extension in client's hair for a $10 donation.

"They've had a huge reaction," said spokeswoman Beth Hutson of Hutson Creative. "Everybody loves it. They think it's so much fun."

The process takes 15 minutes, and the money goes to the National Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  To date, more than 375 salons have raised almost $1 million.  This is Halo Salon's first year to join the effort.

"They're very active in the community and have clients who are breast cancer survivors,  so they wanted to do something for the cure," explained Hutson.

Pink extensions are available Tuesday through Saturday through the end of October.  To schedule an appointment, call 817-737-4256.
