Julie Benz is heading for "Desperate Housewives," according to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello.
The star will reportedly take on the role of Debbie, a stripper with a Master's degree in education given the opportunity to take her career in a different direction in Wisteria Lane.
Julie's "Dexter" character, Rita, was murdered in the Showtime drama's Season 5 finale in December. She played Dexter's girlfriend, and later wife, on the series.
