Jimmy Fallon, “Sesame Street” Cast Perform with Kid's Instruments

Jimmy Fallon and his band, The Roots, embraced their inner children Wednesday when the cast of "Sesame Street" joined them to perform a rendition of the theme song from the children's show using classroom instruments.

With a woodblock in hand, Fallon tapped along to the classic "Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?"

Roots members played instruments including a rainbow-colored xylophone, a recorder and an egg shaker.

Guest performers included "Sesame Street" favorites Big Bird, Elmo, The Count and Cookie Monster, among others.

Elmo called the performance "very exciting."

In the past, Fallon has used classroom instruments to play songs with Robin Thicke, Mariah Carey and Carly Rae Jepsen.
