Eric Bana To Play Elvis On The Big Screen

Will reportedly play the music great opposite actor Danny Huston

Eric Bana is headed for the big screen as American icon Elvis Presley.

According to Variety, the Australian actor will play the music great opposite actor Danny Huston, who is in final negotiations to play the late President Richard Nixon in "Elvis & Nixon."

Cary Elwes, who famously played Westley in 1987's "The Princess Bride," will make his feature film directorial debut with the project.

The film will center around the bizarre meeting of the President and the superstar, who Nixon made a Federal Agent-at-Large.

Cary is co-author of the script with Joey Sagal and Hanala Sagal. Meanwhile Bana himself is executive producing the project.

No start date was available for the film.

Eric was recently seen on the big screen in "Hanna" with Saoirse Ronan and Cate Blanchett.
