Subtract Two Young Arms From Rangers' Bullpen

If you were hoping to find a couple of young relievers under your Rangers’ Christmas Tree, take it up with Santa because Texas is down two arms as of this morning.

Lefty Scott Barnes was claimed on waivers by the Blue Jays, and righty Ben Rowen cleared waivers and is now a free agent. Last week both were designated for assignment.

The Rangers got Barnes from the Orioles on Dec. 8 on a waiver claim.

Rowen made eight relief appearances for the Rangers last season.
