For some it’s gas prices below $2. For some it’s the Cowboys winning a playoff game. For some it’s the foreplay leading up to Valentine’s Day.

And for others, the bright light at the end of Winter’s cold, dark tunnel is the countdown to pitchers and catchers reporting in late-February. If you’re in the latter group, take heart and then sink your teeth into the Rangers’ appetizer known as the Winter Caravan.

Players, coaches, broadcasters and alumni will make 13 appearances throughout Texas before the club heads to Surprise, Arizona for Spring Training. The Caravan stops – all free of charge – include autographs and a chance to meet ‘n greet with team personnel.

The 13-stop Caravan commences this Friday in Tyler and will conclude Jan. 29 in Garland. Two other events highlight a busy off-season month as the Rangers make stops at AA Round Rock (Jan. 15) and Frisco (Jan. 31).
