The Dallas Cowboys’ DeMarcus Ware will be listed as a defensive end rather than an outside linebacker in 2013 as the team moves from Rob Ryan’s 3-4 to Monte Kiffin’s 4-3, but according to Ware, that might be the biggest change as far as he’s concerned.

I think people are overplaying it,” Ware told Yahoo! Sports’ Doug Farrar this week. “I mean, you're going to have adjustments going from a 3-4 to a 4-3, but there aren't as many moving parts with your linebackers, so it's a little easier playing a 4-3.

“I'm still playing outside contain and rushing the passer, and now, I'm just putting my hand in the dirt. I mean, there's really no big difference--there may be for some of the interior guys and the linebackers, but going from outside linebacker to defensive end, you're doing the same thing.”

Ware registered 11.5 sacks a year ago in his final season under Rob Ryan. Under Monte Kiffin, Ware may be an even more effective pass rusher, as he won’t be expected to drop into coverage so much--which means he’ll be able to pin his ears back and go after the passer, a scary thought for NFL QBs.
