Time To Fire The Kicker

David Buehler can't even make kicks at practice.  Be worried Cowboys fans, very worried.

At Wednesday's practice at Valley Ranch, Buehler made his first field goal and then missed the next four.  DOH!!

Time for a new kicker because this kid can't do the job.

I was in the Cowboys locker room after the game when Cowboys owner Jerry Jones proclaimed, "my instincts" are the reason he is not ready to make a change at kicker.

This came after Buehler missed another critical kick in a regular season game.  This is his first season as a full-time field goal kicker in the NFL and he is failing.

He missed a chip shot 34-yard FG attempt in the season opener at Washington.  In the air conditioned Cowboys Stadium last Sunday, Buehler missed a 44-yarder that would have tied the game against Chicago at 20 in the fourth quarter.

Head coach Wade Phillips is always saying positive things for his players even when they play their worst, but he admitted after the Redskins loss and the 27-20 defeat to Chicago he's got little faith in Beuhler.

Too many games in the NFL are decided by field goals and with an 0-2 record the Cowboys can not take a chance on allowing Buehler to keep them from the win column.  I mean, he can't even make field goals in practice anymore.

This is Jerry Jones call and he needs to find a new placekicker.
