Report: Cowboys Trying To Mask Interest In Memphis DT Dontari Poe

Dallas has not scheduled a visit with Poe, who could be a mid-first round pick

The Dallas Cowboys have not scheduled a visit with Memphis defensive tackle Dontari Poe, but that may not mean they’re not interested. In fact, according to one reporter, it could mean that they’re very interested, but they don’t want too many other teams getting interested.

Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram writes, the Cowboys “like him a lot but don’t want to draw attention to him.”

It’s worth noting that the Cowboys haven’t drafted a player they haven’t met with prior to the draft since 2006.

However, it’s also worth noting that the last time they drafted a player without a pre-draft interview, it was DeMarcus Ware. And, you know, that has worked out pretty well.
