Offseason Workouts Start Today

The Dallas Cowboys will gather on Monday for the first workout of the offseason

Offseason workouts begin today, which means it’s strength and conditioning coach Mike Woicik’s time to shine.

Woicik won three Super Bowls with the Cowboys in the early- to mid-nineties, then went to New England where he won three more. According to former Cowboys’ fullback and current Fox analyst Daryl Johnston, the success of Woicik’s teams isn’t a product of luck.

"Only two teams have won three Super Bowls in four years, and he was the strength coach for both of them," Johnston said, per the Dallas Morning News. "And I don't think that is by coincidence."

The Cowboys actually hired Woicik last year, but due to the lockout, he wasn’t afforded an offseason with his new team.

"We're excited about the opportunity to have our players be with [Woicik]," said head coach Jason Garrett, "because I think he has a track record of developing individual players and hopefully he'll help develop our football team."
