On the same day he makes his return to Valley Ranch for the final mini-camp of the offseason before training camp opens up in Oxnard, Ca. on Monday, Cowboys’ cornerback Mike Jenkins will be placed on the active physically unable to perform (PUP) list along with four teammates.
Jenkins played through a slew of injuries in 2011, including multiple separated shoulders. He aggravated the right shoulder, which made surgery necessary, in the team’s season ending loss to the New York Giants.
Joining Jenkins on the PUP list are rookie receiver Danny Coale, who suffered a fractured foot on the first day of organized team activities, guard Mackenzy Bernadeau (hip), guard/center Kevin Kowalski (hip) and safety Matt Johnson (biceps).
