Local Ratings Hit New Low With Sunday's Win Over Browns

Sunday's win over the Browns was the lowest rated game of the season for Dallas

The Cowboys-Browns game on Sunday had all the makings of a really poorly-rated contest: It began at noon, for one thing and, for another, it featured a 2-7 Cleveland team going against a 4-5 Dallas team. Which is to say, this was far from a marquee matchup for the NFL, and boy did the ratings show it.

Even in a season where the Cowboys have struggled to draw strong local ratings, Sunday was a new low, at 26.3 in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to Barry Horn of the Dallas Morning News. The ratings were only slightly higher in Cleveland, at 28.9.

To be fair, the new low didn’t blow the previous low out of the water by any means. The Cowboys and Panthers drew a barely-better 26.4 back in week seven.
