Jerry Says Rolando McClain Will Play

McClain returned to practice on Friday after missing two days

Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain returned to practice on Friday after missing two days with that nagging groin injury, and owner and general manager Jerry Jones says he will play Sunday against the Seahawks.

He’s going to play,” Jones told 105.3-FM The Fan, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “We need him obviously. He’s a leader. I know last week at practice--at this time last week--he undressed one of our young receivers out there and just kind of stuck his gun back in his holster or he blew the smoke off the end, stuck his gun back in the holster.

“Just walked on back up to the line of scrimmage, ‘Let’s go!’ Everybody’s eyes got big. He said, ‘Now, bring Houston on! Let’s go!’ He’s can be a difference-maker. Of course, you’ve got to back it up, but his body language, just his approach to the thing is real inspirational to the team.”

McClain has been a delightful surprise for through four games with the Cowboys, with 23 tackles, a sack and an interception.
