Jerry Heaps Praise on Joseph Randle

Randle has gone for 91 yards on 20 carries this preseason

Cowboys second-year running back Joseph Randle has looked impressive through two preseason games, going for 91 yards on 20 carries, and owner and general manager Jerry Jones has taken notice.

"Joe Randle right now is really playing outstanding," Jones told 105.3-FM The Fan on Tuesday, via ESPN Dallas. "That's not an exaggeration."

As a rookie last year, the 5th round pick posted 164 yards and two touchdowns on 54 carries. Randle credits experience with the growth that’s been put on display this preseason.

"I feel like I'm bigger, I'm stronger, I'm smarter," Randle said. "I'm a year smarter in the playbook. I think that's all things that help me play fast. Now, I'm just working on playing fast every play I'm out there. That comes with practice."
