ESPN's Todd McShay's Third Mock: Cowboys Pick Alabama G Chance Warmack

The Cowboys will select 18th overall in this April's NFL Draft

It’s no secret that the Dallas Cowboys need offensive line help. And bad. If ESPN’s NFL Draft expert Todd McShay’s third mock of this pre-draft season is right, they’ll be getting a pretty dern good one with the 18th overall pick.

McShay has Dallas grabbing guard Chance Warmack in the first round, and he’s not exactly conservative in his praise of the University of Alabama product.

“Anyone else get the sense that Alabama's running a good program these days? Anyway, this is the dream-come-true pick for the Cowboys,” McShay writes, via ESPN Dallas. “Some have said Warmack is the best offensive lineman, regardless of position, in the entire draft. If he's there at 18, the Cowboys run to the podium.

“They need to get an offensive lineman in the first round, and while people keep asking me, ‘Well, what if the top five guys are all gone by 18?,’ it's worth mentioning that only once in the past 15 drafts (2008) have five offensive linemen gone in the first 17 picks.”
