Tim Tebow is a polarizing figure.
Those who love him really, really love him, and those who don’t care for him, for whatever reason, really, really don’t care for him. For proof of Tebow’s status as one of the most polarizing athletes in recent memory, not as though we needed any more of it, one need look no further than Dez Bryant’s Twitter feed following the Bronco’s wild card victory over Pittsburgh on Sunday.
"I wonder how all the people who criticize Tebow feel? #stupid lol," Bryant said (sic of course) following Tebow’s 80-yard, game-winning touchdown pass to DeMaryius Thomas in overtime.
And then, presumably following some salty responses, he continued, "I guess all the people who are mad in my mentions are #Tebowhaters..everybody can say what they want about his QB skills he is #Winning."
Bryant also sent a kind word to Tebow himself, saying “Much respect to @timtebow keep doing your thing."
Finally, Bryant offered this to his followers and critics: “These haters are so funny..asking me are you mad? No lol I get to live my dream and play for my favorite team”.
So, lesson learned. Praise Tebow, catch Twitter flack.
