D-FW Not Interested In NFL Draft

The Metroplex ranked among the bottom of the pile in terms of ratings for the NFL Draft

Perhaps left jaded by the Dallas Cowboys’ underwhelming efforts in the draft over the past few years, folks in the D-FW Metroplex didn’t show much interest in watching the 2013 selection show that aired on ESPN beginning last Thursday.

The Dallas Morning News’ Barry Horn reports that the D-FW area averaged a rating of 1.6 over the three days of the draft. The is the 50th highest rating among 56 ESPN markets, tying Dallas with San Diego. Behind them were Seattle, Raleight, NC, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and Portland. These last two markets, of course, do not have NFL teams.

Always football crazy, New Orleans came in atop the ratings board with a 4.7 mark, followed by Birmingham, Buffalo, and Dayton, all of whom registered a rating of 4.0 or better.
