Cowboys Planning Joint Training Camp Practices with Rams

Last year, the Cowboys hosted the Raiders in Oxnard

The Dallas Cowboys have made something of a habit of hosting joint practices with another team during training camp and, this year, it looks like that team will be the St. Louis Rams.

According to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, the plans are being finalized this week.

Last year, the Cowboys hosted the Raiders in Oxnard, CA for several days, and they’ve done joint workouts with the San Diego Chargers in the past.

These workouts are mutually beneficial, as they allow players the chance to hit someone in a different jersey after camp takes on an incredibly monotonous feel. Plus, for fans, there’s always the chance of a fight. Last year, the Cowboys were involved in a huge melee with the Raiders.

As Moore points out, when the Rams visit the Cowboys in Oxnard, they’ll be just down the road from where owner Stan Kroenke seems to want to move the team, in Los Angeles--to be specific, 64 miles away.
