Cowboys, Escobar Agree To Four-Year Deal

Gavin Escobar was selected 47th overall by Dallas back in April

The Dallas Cowboys signed second round pick Gavin Escobar on Friday afternoon, leaving first rounder Travis Frederick as the only of Dallas’ seven 2013 selections yet to sign. He is expected to do so any day now, though, meaning the Cowboys will have a full complement of draft picks when they open camp next month in Oxnard, CA.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Escobar’s deal is worth approximately $4.2 million over four years.

A San Diego State product, Escobar brings an impressive combination of size and exceptional hands for a tight end, and figures to battle Jason Witten and 2012 pick James Hanna for targets in his rookie season.
