Christine Michael Lands on Redskins Practice Squad

Michael's brief stay with the Cowboys consisted of 51 yards on 15 carries

Christine Michael will be staying in the NFC East.

On Thursday, just two days after being released by the Cowboys, Michael was signed to the Washington Redskins’ practice squad, according to the Washington Post. The move reunites Michael with Washington general manager Scot McCloughan, who was working in the Seahawks’ front office when they drafted him.

A Texas A&M product, Michael was acquired by the Cowboys in a trade with the Seahawks the week before the season opener, with the thought that he’d step in as a third down/power back option. That never really worked out, though.

Michael toted it a total of 15 times in his brief time with the Cowboys, for 51 yards. He also caught a single pass out of the backfield for two yards.
