Report: Mike Jenkins Will Visit Jaguars

The Raiders have also shown interest in the free agent cornerback

The Oakland Raiders have reportedly expressed an interest in Cowboys free agent cornerback Mike Jenkins, but they aren’t the only ones. According to a ProFootballTalk.com report, Jenkins will visit the Jacksonville Jaguars this week.

At this point, it seems like Jenkins is as good as gone. He wanted to be traded last offseason after the team signed Brandon Carr in free agency and traded up to pick Morris Claiborne in the draft, but Dallas wouldn’t budge.

The team hung on to him, which was probably a good thing, as he took over in the slot after Orlando Scandrick went down for the season on Thanksgiving Day. Certainly, that Jenkins has shown that he can play inside and outside won’t hurt his stock in free agency.
