The powerful winter storm that will impact the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern U.S. over the next few days brought thunderstorms that dropped rain and hail on North Texas Thursday morning.
Rain started around 8 a.m. as drizzle but changed over to rain as thunderstorms packed with lightning and pea-sized hail moved through the area.
The rain slowly tapered off leaving North Texas under a blanket of clouds with strong wind and colder temperatures.
Sun returns Friday and the weekend looks nice, while the East Coast will be dealing with freezing temperatures and record snowfall.
