DFW set a new record high temperature of 83 Wednesday afternoon, breaking the previous record of 82 set in 1905. But a strong cold front will drop south through North Texas during the evening ushering in much chillier air.

After a cool start, this afternoon will feature a big warm-up with highs in the 70s.

A cold front arrives Wednesday night into Thanksgiving Day with another batch of cooler air. Thursday will be breezy and much cooler with highs in the 50s.

The first cold front of two this week arrived this morning. Thanks to the cold front overnight lows will drop into the upper 30s and low 40s.

It’ll be warm and windy Sunday, with above-average temperatures. NBC 5 Meteorologist Ryann Jones says two fronts will bring a rollercoaster temps.
