In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.
Adrian Beltre — The leader of the Rangers is starting to act like one at the plate and not just in the clubhouse and in the field. The veteran third baseman is batting .407 with two doubles, two homers and a team-high eight RBIs in his last seven games.

Shin-Soo Choo — Since the all-star break, there hasn't been a better hitter on the Rangers than Choo — quite a shock given how his first half went. Choo is batting .375 with a .516 on-base percentage in his last seven games. He has three doubles, a homer and four RBIs in that time.
Bullpen — The winning pieces of the Rangers bullpen, known as the quartet of Shawn Tolleson, Sam Dyson, Sam Freeman and Keone Kela have combined to put up 15 scoreless innings in the last seven games. Add in Jake Diekman, and it's one run in the last 18 2/3 innings.
Elvis Andrus — Andrus is batting .167 in his last seven games, but is still a much better hitter than he was earlier in the year. He's also playing well in the field, but by hitting metrics alone, he's struggling.
Anthony Bass — The once great long man has struggled recently, and he's allowed four runs on six hits in his last three innings of work.
