Where Has Terrance Williams Been?

Williams has been limited to just three catches in the last three games

After a hot start to the 2014 season, Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrance Williams has more or less disappeared.

Williams posted six touchdown catches in the team’s first seven games, but he hasn’t caught one in the past five games. In the past three games, he’s been held to no catches (against Jacksonville), one catch (against the Giants), and two catches (against the Eagles), for a grand total of 56 yards.

Head coach Jason Garrett maintains that the drop in production is a product of the Cowboys using all their options, and not any drop in Williams’ performance level.

"I think some of that has to do with opportunity," Garrett said, per ESPN Dallas. "Other guys have stepped up. Cole Beasley has made a number of the plays the last couple of weeks. We have seen [Lance Dunbar] and [Gavin] Escobar and some of those other guys make plays. Obviously, we’re getting the ball to [Jason Witten] and to Dez as much as we can. We’re trying to run the football, so sometimes a certain player doesn’t get as many opportunities.

“But the biggest thing for those guys is to stay ready and take advantage of the opportunities when you get them."
