Soto to Return on Friday

For the second time in just a few weeks, Geovany Soto is set to come off the disabled list when the Texas Rangers open a three-game series in Houston on Friday night.

Soto, who was projected to be the Rangers' No. 1 catcher this season, hurt his knee in spring training and had to have surgery before returning out of the all-star break. That return lasted just a few games before he hit the DL again. Now, after the 15-day stint, he's back.

In those three games, Soto was good. He was hit .364 with a double and an RBI, but it was three games.

You'd think he'd be in the lineup, behind the plate in Friday's series opener, and again for Yu Darvish on Saturday since he pretty much became Darvish's personal catcher in 2013. Hopefully, Soto can stick around a little bit longer this time.
