Rangers Bats Show Life Against Iwakuma

Hisashi Iwakuma has never been kind to the Rangers.

In fact, he's one of the pitchers in the game that the Rangers probably enjoy facing the least. Something about him just perplexes them, but for one day at least, that all changed.

The Rangers tagged the deceptive righty for eight hits over six innings on Monday night and scored three runs en route to a 7-3 win over the Mariners. The Rangers scratched runs off Iwakuma in the second, third and fourth innings as they finished the night with a season-high 14 hits as five players had multiple hits.

Now Iwakuma is 8-4 with a 3.50 ERA in over 100 innings of work against the Rangers in his career, and the numbers are even better at Safeco Park, so what the Rangers did on Monday night was good to see.
