Have you ever often wondered what kind of animal former Dallas Stars winger and current New Jersey Devils captain Jamie Langenbrunner would be, given choices like fish and giraffe?
Turns out he'd be a lion, and he sounds rather eager to have a den of lionesses as well. Pimp.
We know this thanks to a silly but addictive site called So You Think You Know Jamie Langenbrunner, sponsored by Verizon Wireless. The premise is like the classic "homeless game" on the Howard Stern Show (and, we imagine, a ton of other less-hilarious game shows): Jamie is asked a series of questions on video, and you have to predict his answers within a five-second time limit. "PlayStation or Xbox?" That sort of thing. There will be new quizzes every week.
You do well, you win Devils prizes (we can smell the apathy through your monitor). Unfortunately, it appears registration is required, which stinks because the game, and the goofy video that accompanies it, are fun. Also stinky: The fact that a virtual Jamie Langenbrunner (pictured here) greeted us to the site last night, but was missing today. Maybe it's just for first-timers.
Do any other teams have this bit of viral marketing featured on their official sites? Is it just for captains? Color us pathetic, but we'd really like to know if Brenden Morrow likes Thanksgiving or Halloween better.
