Monday's Three Stars: Daley works OT for winner

No. 1 star, Trevor Daley, Dallas Stars:
Don’t give up on those Dallas Stars just yet. Trevor Daley scored his first goal in 14 games off his own rebound 1:51 into overtime to rally the host Stars to a 5-4 win over the Detroit Red Wings. Dallas is just three points out of the final playoff spot with one game in hand. Daley had five of Dallas' 49 shots on goal. In addition to scoring the winner, Daley logged a team-high 26:31 of ice time.

No. 2 star, Mike Smith, Tampa Bay Lightning:
Mike Smith liked facing the Kings as a member of the Stars, and he still likes facing Los Angeles as a Tampa Bay Lightning. Smith improved his career record to 5-0-0 against the Kings as he made 29 saves work for Tampa Bay's third win in four games. Smith surrendered only a Peter Harrold goal at 18:02 of the second period as he helped spearhead the killing of all four Lightning short-handed situations.

No. 3 star, Pavel Datsyuk, Detroit Red Wings:
Pavel Datsyuk had a productive game again for the Red Wings, even if in an overtime losing effort. Datsyuk scored a goal and added two assists to increase his recent offensive surge to 18 points in 11 games. A plus-3, Datsyuk had two shots, a pair of takeaways and eight faceoff wins during 19:20 of ice time.
