Power Rankings: NFC East

In a weekly feature, we'll break down the previous week's game in the NFC East and rank each team based on current perception.

1. Philadelphia Eagles — With Tony Romo's and Robert Griffin III's health questions, you could make a solid argument that Nick Foles is the top quarterback in the division after his breakout 2013 which saw him put up All-Pro numbers in the debut year of Chip Kelly's Oregon offense. This year, he loses his top weapon in DeSean Jackson, but the machine should keep rolling on. Are the Eagles world-beaters? Don't think so, but they seem to be the best of the bunch. Next up: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars.

2. New York Giants — Nothing to see here, really, this is just because there has to be a No. 2. Eli Manning has had two fantastic postseason runs (obviously) and a couple of good regular seasons, but as of late, he's been garbage in the regular season. The Giants' defense is still a mess, and their running game could be the same unless Rashad Jennings can prove he deserves to be more than Maurice Jones-Drew's backup. Next up: at Detroit Lions.

3. Washington Redskins — The only thing separating the Redskins from the Cowboys and last place right now is the fact the Redskins' defense doesn't seem to be as bad as the Cowboys'. Both teams should good on offense, barring injury to their quarterback, but even in that case, the Redskins have a great backup. The Cowboys? Meh. If all is healthy, the Cowboys should have one of the top offenses in football, but their defense is equally bad and the chances of Tony Romo playing all season seem very slim. Next up: at Houston Texans.

4. Dallas Cowboys — See above to start. At this point, I'd be shocked if Tony Romo plays in 12 games this year. There's just a bad vibe out there about the Cowboys quarterback's surgically repaired back. And just how good is this offensive line we keep hearing is one of the league's best? It's clear they're on to something special with that young group, but are they really that good? And as we mentioned above, it might not matter how good they are because the Cowboys' defense has a chance to be even worse than last year's historically bad season. Next up: vs. San Francisco 49ers.
