Henry Melton Getting in a Groove

Henry Melton has 1.5 sacks in the loss to the Cardinals on Sunday

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Henry Melton, the team’s biggest offseason pickup, now has five sacks on the season after getting 1.5 against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

What’s more, Melton believes he’s just hitting his stride, after missing all but three weeks last year with the Chicago Bears with a torn ACL.

It’s coming a little bit more naturally,” Melton said, per ESPN Dallas. “I’m getting kind of in a groove.”

Melton wasn’t basking in the stat book on Sunday afternoon, however. He’s more focused on the win-loss column.

“It’s feeling better coming in here with no sacks and a win rather than coming in here with sacks and a big L on the sheet,” Melton said.

As for the knee, Melton is still building strength, but so far, so good.

“I’m feeling all right,” he said. “It’s coming along. Still got a long way to go, but hopefully the momentum just continues to build.”
