Jordie Benn, Ales Hemsky Expected to Return Friday at Ducks

Both Benn and Hemsky have been dealing with lower body injuries

The Dallas Stars were back on the ice on Tuesday after a two day break, and it looks like they’ll get some reinforcements in time for Friday’s matchup with the Ducks in Anaheim, their first game since the layoff. Both defenseman Jordie Benn and right wing Ales Hemsky participated in practice Tuesday in Frisco and are expected to play Friday.

It was a typical practice day,” Stars coach Lindy Ruff told the team’s official website. “We tried to get a real good work day in, and I think we got that accomplished.”

Both Benn and Hemsky have been dealing with lower body injuries—Benn has missed two games, and Hemsky six games—but Ruff was encouraged by what he saw out of the pair during the workout.

“Both guys are doing well, and both had a full practice,” Ruff said. “I would anticipate both guys playing.”
