Head coach Jason Garrett and the Dallas Cowboys staff are working with the little brother of Pro Bowl right guard Zack Martin at the Senior Bowl this week, an arrangement that Garrett admits has led to just a little bit of confusion.
Garrett grinned when asked if he had called Notre Dame center Nick Martin by his brother’s name at any point.
“I have called him Zack,” Garrett said, per Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Set the huddle, Zack … I caught myself so I’m calling him ‘Notre Dame’ now.”

Notre Dame is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his brother, who has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons after being drafted by the Cowboys 16th overall in 2014. The elder Martin played in the Senior Bowl, too.
“He said it was going to be hectic and obviously it is,” Nick Martin said. “He said enjoy it and really work hard. When it comes down to it, you’ve got to play football, enjoy the game. Trying to soak it all in.”
