Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 2

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts," Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Carson Palmer, QB, ARI — Any concern of Palmer being back to normal after suffering a torn ACL last year was quelled on Sunday when he torched the Saints last week for more than 300 yards and a few scores. Andre Ellington, the Cardinals running back, was injured and that could yield more burden on Palmer against a Chicago defense that is ripe for the picking.

Honorable mention: Chris Ivory, NYJ (at IND); Tevin Coleman, ATL (at NYG); Jarvis Landry, MIA (at JAC); Terrance Williams, DAL (at PHI).

Dud of the Week

Peyton Manning, QB, DEN — As we really started to see last season, Thursday night games were rarely good for quarterbacks. Call it a lack of preparation or whatever, but it seemed to prove true more often than not. This matchup on Thursday for Manning looks particularly bad against a really good Chiefs defense on the road at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Manning was bad last week at home against the Ravens, so don't expect a bounce back here.

Honorable mention: Tony Romo, DAL (at PHI); Alfred Morris, WAS (vs. STL); James Jones, GB (vs. SEA); Andre Johnson, IND (vs. NYJ).
