Saturday LiveBlog: Nightcap Edition

Time for the late edition of the Saturday chats. A long, hard day of watching football and now it is time for the primetime games. The games that promise so much, but all too often deliver little more than a one-sided blowout.

Yet there is always optimism. Oklahoma State-Texas Tech should at least be entertaining. Notre Dame-Boston College is usually competitive. Who knows what to expect from Cinci-West Virginia.

Okay, no one is expecting much from the Florida-Vandy and Cal-USC games other than a lopsided showing meant to impress voters.

And of course, plenty to discuss with the earlier games. Penn State falls to Iowa -- again. LSU and Alabama are tied, even as I type. The fun starts around 7 pm.
