Cowboys linebacker DeVonte Holloman was forced out of Saturday’s preseason game against the Ravens with a neck injury, Jason Garrett confirmed this week, and he’ll reportedly go to San Antonio on Tuesday to see a specialist.
This is particularly concerning for the team as Holloman missed seven games last season with a spinal contusion. He still finished his rookie season of 2013 with 26 tackles, including one for a loss, and two sacks.
“He’s still getting evaluated on that, but it is a neck injury,” Garrett told the team’s official website. “He had a neck injury last year, so we’ll just monitor him after he gets the feedback from the doctors. We’re obviously looking at that situation very closely.”
