If you've ever seen Felix Hernandez make a home start at Seattle's Safeco Field, you know how cool it is to look in the "K Zone" and see the Mariners' fans — all wearing identical shirts — going absolutely nuts every time Hernandez strikes someone out.
Now, Texas Rangers fans will have the chance to do the same thing when their strikeout leader, Yu Darvish, pitches at home. Last year, Darvish led all rookies with 221 strikeouts for the Rangers, and in 2013 he'll be able to enjoy the same attention during his starts.
The Rangers announced over the weekend that they will have a special section of fans for Darvish's home starts, sponsored by Kia Motors America, and those fans will all receive special shirts and "K" signs to hold up when Darvish fans someone.
The section will be known as the Kia Yuniverse and will encompass sections 201-208.
