Other than a lone start against his kryptonite, the Oakland A's, Yu Darvish has been better than ever this season — his third with the Texas Rangers.
He's done everything an ace is expected to do. He's worked late into games, going at least eight innings in three of his last four starts. He's cut down on some of the lofty Darvish pitch counts we've grown accustomed to prior to this season with only one start seeing him hit the 120-count.
Most importantly, Darvish has stopped losing skids and started winning streaks, and he'll have another chance to do the latter on Friday night in the series opener against the Cleveland Indians.

Consider this: Five times this season, Darvish has followed up a Rangers loss with a Rangers win, three of which earned Darvish the W. That's ace material, right there, folks. Now, he can help start the team's next win streak after they stopped a two-game skid on Thursday night. You have to like his chances.
