Cowboys Will Pick 18th In 2013 Draft

Dallas finished 8-8 in 2012

With the Dallas Cowboys’ season over, it’s time to look to the future, and it starts with next April’s NFL Draft, which will see the team select 18th overall, barring a trade.

The Cowboys finished .500 for the second consecutive year, with a 28-18 loss to the playoff-bound Redskins on Sunday night. They have picked in the top ten in the past couple of years, trading up from No. 14 to No. 6 to get Morris Claiborne last year and selected left tackle Tyron Smith at No. 9 in 2011.

Dallas gets the 18th spot at 8-8 because, according to ESPN Dallas, the Cowboys had a higher strength of schedule percentage than the Pittsburgh Steelers, who also finished 8-8.
