The Dallas Cowboys signed defensive end Igor Olshansky to a four year deal on Friday.
According to the Cowboys news release, Olshansky was originally a second round draft pick in 2004, taken by the San Diego Chargers.
He was born in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine and is the first player from the former Soviet Union to play in the NFL.
Olshansky played three seasons for current Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips when he served as the defensive coordinator for the Chargers from 2004-2006.
