Confidence In Buehler Grows With Game-Winner

Kicker David Buehler has seen his fair share of struggles since becoming the team’s field goal kicker, but he was three of four against the Colts on Sunday, and hit the game-winner in overtime. This was a redemptive performance of sorts for the second-year USC product, who missed a kind of unreasonable 59-yard attempt that would have forced overtime against the New Orleans Saints on Thanksgiving Day.

"For me it was good to have redemption, from the 48-yarder and from what happened last week," Buehler said, per the Dallas Morning News. "It's a night-and-day difference from what I was feeling last week. You want to make every kick. I'm glad I had two shots to come back and redeem myself and glad I put them through the pipes."

Buehler is now 16 of 22 on field goal attempts this season, and though it’s been an adventure at times, it seems that confidence in Buehler is growing at Valley Ranch. Owner and general manager Jerry Jones said recently that, despite his struggles with respect to finding consistency, no one around Valley Ranch is calling for a change at the position.

"I haven't seen a nay vote yet by any of the people that are involved in the decision regarding the kicker," Jones said. "Not one."
