Adrian Beltre was one of three heart-of-the-order hitters for the Rangers who carried the team over the final month of the season, which saw the Rangers pass the Astros in the AL West and hold on to clinch on the final day of the season.
On Monday, Beltre was rewarded for his spectacular close to the season when he was given AL Player of the Week honors, while no-hit machine Max Scherzer took home NL honors after tossing his second no-no of the season in his final start of 2015.
Beltre was a run-producing force for the Rangers over the final week as he hit .448 with two homers and 13 RBIs over the Rangers' final seven games of the season — four wins and three losses. It was Beltre's fifth such honor in the career of the future Hall of Famer.
