Brandon Carter had a home run and two RBIs as the AirHogs defeated the Cats 6-2 on Wednesday night.
With the win, Grand Prairie took 2-of-3 from the Cats in the series.
The AirHogs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning as the first three batters of the bottom of the first reached against Cats' starter Dan Grybash. Aaron Garza and Drew Holder had back-to-back doubles before David Espinosa singled home the AirHogs' second run.
The Cats got a run in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Brian Fryer scoring Kelley Gulledge to cut the lead to 2-1. But in the bottom of the third, Holder smacked his first home run of the season for a 3-1 Grand Prairie advantage.
Fort Worth again climbed to within a run in the sixth as Michael Bell's RBI fielder's choice made it 3-2, but Carter's two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth broke the game open, giving the AirHogs a 5-2 lead. They added another run in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Derek Nicholson.
Grybash (3-1) took the loss after permitting five runs on 10 hits in six innings pitched. Nat Harris evened his record at 2-2 after allowing two runs on four hits over five innings to notch the victory. Luke Prihoda, who worked three scoreless inning to close out the game, picked up his second save.
Carter was 2-for-3 in the game with two runs batted in. Holder finished the night 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs as well.

The Cats return home to face second-place El Paso in a four-game series beginning on Thursday night with Joel Kirsten on the mound for Fort Worth.
