Tristan Thompson scored 13 points for North Texas, leading the Mean Green to beat Cameron 87-66 on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.
Thompson was one of four North Texas players to score in double digits, including Josh White with 12 points, Adam McCoy with 11 points and Justin Howerton with 10.
Dylan Gilliam had 16 points to lead Cameron.
The Aggies shot only 22 percent in the second half, when they were outscored 43-27.
