This morning in Washington, D.C., U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke to reporters about Roy Moore’s loss in Alabama.
Cruz originally supported Moore, but pulled his support after the allegations came to light.
Cruz spoke to reporters in D.C. Wednesday morning about the special election.
“The voters of Alabama had a difficult election choice before them, and they have now spoken. There were serious allegations raised against the Republican nominee that weighed heavily on the hearts and minds of many Alabama voters. This makes the Republican majority now just 51 Senators, and it underscores the need for us to continue doing what we have been doing this year, which is working to come together, building a consensus, and bringing together at least 50 Republicans to deliver on our fundamental promises,” said Cruz.
