Feds Offer 2-Year Obamacare Delay for Some Insurance

People with health insurance that doesn't meet Obamacare standards can keep their lacking policies for another two years, the Obama administration said Wednesday. The announcement confirmed rumors that had been circulating for days that the administration would extend even further the exception for people whom the Obamacare requirements would force to buy new policies. President Barack Obama first extended the existing policies back in November, after his GOP rivals seized on the reports of thousands of people getting cancellation notices from their insurers — despite the White House's promises that people who liked their plans could keep them. The second extension Wednesday came just as the House held its 50th vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act, following 49 others that like it were strictly symbolic and DOA in the Senate.
