A gunman killed at least 58 people and injured hundreds more before turning the gun on himself, targeting an outdoor music festival on the Las Vegas Strip on Oct. 1, 2017, police said.
Dozens of patrol vehicles descended on the Strip after authorities received reports of an active shooter near the Route 91 Harvest Festival. Authorities later said the suspect was "down." He was identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock.
