Workers Race To Finish Floats

In the dusty Livestock Pavilion at Fair Park in Dallas, workers are racing the clock to put the finishing touches on more than two dozen floats for the Comerica Bank New Year's Parade.

The workers said they are confident they'll make it.

"It's been stressful, but you gotta get it done, you know.  We got a deadline to meet, " said Michael Peterson, one of the float builders.

That deadline is now less than 24 hours away.  The parade, commonly known as the Cotton Bowl Parade, starts Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Ross and Harwood in downtown Dallas.
