Woman Convicted For 1989 Killing Violates Parole

An 86-year-old San Antonio woman convicted of killing her former employer in 1989 has been arrested in eastern Bexar County after police say she violated her parole.

Authorities say Marie Reilly was arrested Sunday morning. According to police, deputies responded to a report of a family disturbance at a residence and Reilly said her grandchild and another person were having an argument.

Deputies say they had recently been to Reilly's home after she was accused of assaulting a man with a knife. The incident led to her parole being revoked and a warrant issued for her arrest.

Reilly, who was convicted in 2006, was on parole for the death of Jayne Hays. Authorities say Reilly worked as a maid for Hays and killed her after she was accused of stealing money.
